If you have a burst pipe, turn off the water supply to your home immediately and call a plumber for emergency repairs.
A water softener is a device that removes minerals like calcium and magnesium from your water supply. If you have hard water, a water softener can help prevent damage to your plumbing fixtures and appliances.
Please note that some common issues require expertise to service properly. In some cases, attempting a DIY repair can lead to further damage, therefore, it is always recommended to contact us. However, here are some common problems and possible solutions that might help you out:
A clogged drain is a common plumbing problem that can cause water to back up in your sink or shower. To fix it, start by removing any visible debris from the drain using your fingers or a pair of pliers. Then, use a plunger to create suction and dislodge the clog.. If the plunger doesn't work, try using a drain snake or auger. Insert the tool into the drain and turn the handle to dislodge the clog. If the clog is still not removed, you can mix 1/2 cup of baking soda with 1/2 cup of vinegar and pour it down the drain. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes, then flush the drain with hot water. DO NOT USE DRANO or other similar substances as they are really hard on your pipes.
To prevent your pipes from freezing, you can insulate pipes in unheated areas, keep your home at a consistent temperature, and allow faucets to drip during periods of extreme cold.
A malfunctioning thermostat can cause the furnace to turn on or off at the wrong times or not turn on at all. First, check the thermostat settings and make sure it is set to "heat." If the thermostat is battery-powered, replace the batteries. You can also try cleaning the thermostat with a soft brush to remove any dust or debris that might interfere with its operation.
A clogged air filter will not be able to effectively block dust, debris, and other materials from entering your home. This will have a negative impact on family members that have allergies, asthma, or other physical conditions. To enhance the quality of your air, we recommend continuously replacing your air filter
A running toilet can waste a lot of water and increase your water bill. To fix it, start by checking the flapper valve (the handle inside the tank that lifts when you flush) to see if it's damaged or misaligned. If it is, replace it. Turn off the water supply to the toilet, then flush it to empty the tank. Remove the flapper valve from the bottom of the tank and replace it with a new one. Reattach the chain and turn the water supply back on.
Low water pressure can be caused by a clogged aerator (the small attachment that screws to the bottom of your faucet where the water comes out). To fix it, unscrew the aerator from the faucet and rinse it with water to remove any debris or mineral deposits. If the aerator is still clogged, soak it in vinegar for a few hours, then rinse it again.
